1. We will encourage listening by not having distractive materials in front of us (i.e. cell phones), and by staying on-topic. Additionally, we will create an open environment that is non-judgemental, trusting, and respectful. We will encourage equal participation, which will encourage listening.
2. We will discourage interrupting by not raising our voices over others and taking turns talking. For instance, 2 people will not be talking at once.
3. We will listen to both sides, and then we will make decisions by voting. Whichever has the most votes is the decision we will go with.
4. We will deal with conflicts by following the Douglas College conflict resolution ladder. For example, we will speak to the person with whom we are having an issue. If that is ineffective, then we will discuss the issue with the instructor.
5. We will encourage everyone's participation by taking turns speaking and creating a non-judgemental environment where individuals are free to share their ideas to fellow group members.
6. In regards to absences, if individuals are not in class, we will consider them absent. We will keep them posted on the learning activities they missed that day
